HOW TO PREPARE

Intention is the best place to start with any healing work. Please take a moment and consider the intention that you’d like to set for your home or business clearing. As much as possible, try to base this intention in a foundation of compassion for yourself and others. Ask yourself what energetic patterns you would like to shift. How do you hope things will be/feel different after this work is done? Keep in mind that the clearing addresses not only the physical home and the land it rests on but also the home’s relationship to the immediate and greater surrounding community.

There is no need to deep clean a home before a clearing but it is helpful to take some time to do a bit of tidying up. This helps to create an intention of clarity and flow and allows you to meet Spirit with your own efforts and energy. It is not necessary, nor recommended, to move furniture away from walls but it is helpful, whenever possible, not to have so many physical blocks that it makes it difficult to move around a room.

You (and your loved ones) are welcome to take part in any or all of this clearing work. A home clearing typically lasts a minimum of 2 hours but usually takes longer (between 2 1/2 to 4 hours). Before I book an appointment I will do a check-in to receive an estimate for how long the clearing will take and then you can decide if participating in all or some of the clearing feels right for you. Please let me know ahead of time so that I can bring an extra drum, chimes, or rattle for those who would like to take part.

WHAT TO EXPECT

I’ll need a space where I can set up a small chair and table where I will conduct the first part of the house clearing. I’ll also need a quick tour of your home and yard so I can get a sense of the overall current energetic state. After this is complete, I will ask for you to share your intention for this clearing work and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

After the intention is set, I will begin the first part of the clearing ceremony which will take approximately one hour. During this time, I will be drumming quietly in my chair. While I am drumming I receive images and messages related to this clearing work which Spirit feels would be beneficial for you to have. After this part of the healing is complete, I will take a few minutes to write these messages down. These will be shared with you once the second phase of healing is finished

During the second phase of clearing work, I will drum (and sometimes sing Sanskrit mantras) around the perimeter of each room of your home in order to clear any stagnant energy.

Just as every home can be different, so can every room--depending on who has spent the most time there and what has transpired within. When energy is heavy or thick I literally sense it in the weight of my drum which can suddenly feel like it’s been loaded with wet sand. When this happens I will drum until the heaviness is released and my drum becomes light again.

If your home or business has more than one story, I will start at the top and circle around through each floor until I reach the bottom or basement. Once the last floor is cleared I will move outside and drum around the perimeter of the home.

I do understand that we live in a world that doesn’t have a great deal of experience with these sorts of ceremonies and I am sensitive to the relationship we have with our neighbors and the fact that this type of work may feel unfamiliar and perhaps even strange to them. If you are uncomfortable with me drumming around the outside of your home I can do this part of the clearing in silence.

After the second part of the clearing is complete I will take a few more minutes to take notes regarding what I was shown.

At the end of the session I will share all of the information that I received during the healing/clearing work. I will also be happy to answer any questions that you have and would love to hear any experiences of the clearing work that you’d like to share. If you can’t take part in the clearing, I will record this information and send it to you within 48 hours.
